Valuing People Now
Valuing People Now is a three year cross government strategy for people with learning disabilities. It says that all people with a learning disability are people first with the right to lead their lives like any other.
This website is for people with learning disabilities, family carers and anyone who works with, or comes into contact with people with learning disabilities.

Equality Act 2010: What I need to know?
The Equality Act brings together nine separate pieces of legislation into one single Act to make things easier to help tackle discrimination and inequality.
Most of the new Equality Act will begin on 1 October 2010.
There are some new information guides that say what the new laws will mean for business, the public sector, the voluntary sector and the public, helping people understand their new responsibilities and rights when providing goods, facilities or services.
